Today’s packinghouse is built upon Roy Neill’s original mission.  Quality produce delivered fresh and at a fair price.  Family values are important at Big Red.  Customers and employees are treated with respect and dignity.  Since inception, Big Red has led the way in employee compensation by paying overtime wages to packing facility employees.  While this is not an industry standard, Big Red is committed to treating workers fairly.
 
At Big Red, management is constantly striving to build lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with customers and suppliers.  Big Red is working to increase specialty product lines to meet customer needs.  In a recent survey of 1,000 chain stores in the United States, conducted by the Florida Tomato Committee, more than 90% of consumers reported freshness, appearance and quality as very important when making purchases.  Quality and freshness is assured when purchasing any Big Red product.  Stringent standards have been put in place to ensure proper product handling and storage. 

Big Red Tomato Packers strives to maintain the integrity and quality of produce sent from the fields.  Quality assurance is a top goal of management and employees.  Both are trained in proper product handling, storage and shipping techniques and are recertified annually.  The facility is maintained year round to ensure building, machinery and inventory are safe and secure.  Controlled atmosphere rooms, with a 57 load capacity, allow Big Red to ship products at the proper temperature and ripeness.
